Fried kibbeh

Filling ingredients 😍


Half a kilo of minced meat.


2 chopped onions.


1 teaspoon spices.


1 teaspoon salt.


Half a teaspoon of black pepper.


A few nuts optional


Half a tablespoon of sumac. Optional


Kibbeh dough ingredients 😍


Half a cup of fine bulgur.


A quarter of minced meat.


Onion.


Half a tablespoon of spices.


Small spoon of salt.


Half a teaspoon of black pepper.


Vegetable oil in an appropriate amount for frying.


How to prepare:😍


Soak the fine bulgur in enough water and set aside.


To prepare the filling:


Heat a little oil.


Add chopped onion to it.


Stir the ingredients over low to medium heat until golden.


Add 1/2 kilo of ground beef to the onions over medium to high heat.


Add spices, salt and black pepper and wait for the meat to cook.


After the meat is cooked, turn off the heat and add the sumac and chopped walnuts.


And now the filling is ready.


To prepare the kibbeh dough, use a food processor:


Place the fine bulgur and ground meat in equal batches into the food processor.


Add chopped onion, spices, salt and black pepper.


Place the dough in a bowl after mixing.


Add corn flour and more seasoning as needed.


Knead it well by hand.


Start making the kibbeh balls but make sure the dough is soft enough, you can add a little water if it feels dry.


Put a little vegetable oil in a plate to moisten your fingers while making the kibbeh and prevent it from sticking.


Take a portion of the dough and make it into a ball shape.


Make a hole in the middle with your index finger.


Continue shaping the dough until you get a half shell shape.


Add a spoonful of filling and then start closing it.


Press well between your palms gently.


Shape it into a traditional kibbeh shape.


Fry the kibbeh in a generous amount of vegetable oil.


Serve with yogurt if desired.
