Ingredients
A roll of filo pastry (about half a kilo). Filo pastry is filo dough.
Half a cup of yogurt
Half a cup of warm milk
Half a cup of melted butter or ghee
Half a spoon of baking powder
Half a spoon of sugar
Half a spoon of salt
For the sausage filling::🌭🌭🌭🌭
A quarter kilo of sausage
medium onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 bell peppers of different colors, depending on availability
hot pepper
A pinch of black pepper and salt
1 tablespoon ketchup or sauce
A cup of grated mozzarella, Romano and cheddar cheese. The amount and type of cheese depends on taste.
Olive slices as desired
Method ::
Cut the sausage into suitable pieces. Place the pan on the fire and add a little oil and wait until the oil is hot. Place the sausage in the pan and stir until it is well browned.
Season the sausage with pepper and salt and add a little water. Put the chopped onion in a pan with a little oil and fry it well. Add the chopped sweet pepper to the onion on the fire and stir.
Add the ingredients to the sausage over low heat, add a little ketchup to them, then add a little water and leave it on the heat for a quarter of an hour.
To make the pie
Put the butter, milk, yogurt, a pinch of salt, sugar and baking powder in a bowl over a water bath (heat slightly over indirect heat) then mix them well together until they become like cream.
Grease a tray with ghee and place 4 or 5 layers of filo pastry, greasing each layer with the butter and yogurt mixture. Place the layers opposite each other and leave the edges of the filo pastry outside the tray, i.e. larger than the tray.
Then add the filling in the middle and put the cheese with it, then put a layer of filo pastry and fold the edges of the filo pastry over the filling so that it covers it completely, then put the rest of the yogurt mixture and add the mozzarella cheese and olive slices on the face of the pie
Place the pie in a preheated oven at the highest temperature until it turns golden brown from the top and bottom, then cut it and serve it with pleasure and health.
Note: Sausage can be replaced with minced meat to make a meat pie.
Or without meat, and we use types of cheese, colored peppers, and olives, and it is a mixed cheese pie.
Or replace it with Nutella or custard filling to make a sweet pie.
