Apple cake
ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for apples)

Method:
1_ Preheat the oven before starting to prepare the recipe.
2- In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, baking powder and ground cinnamon.
3_In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, milk and a pinch of vanilla. Add the mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
4_ In a small bowl, mix the chopped apples with 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
5_Pour half of the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Place half of the apple mixture over the dough layer. Pour the rest of the dough over the apples and cover with the remaining apple mixture. Gently press the apples into the dough.
Place in the oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
To make the icing, beat together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Sprinkle over the cooled bread.
